Listen up, y’all! If you don’t listen to podcasts, well, ya need to. There is so much amazing content out in the inter-webs that tether us all together. Here are my current favorites:
S-Town by Brian Reed:
-John B McLemore reaches out to a reporter to look into corruption in Alabama, but it turns into so much more! So many times I had tears in my eyes or goosebumps on my skin. This is a beautiful window into the lives of seemingly trashy (for lack of a better word) folks in Alabama. Their complexities are exposed and stories emerge that are startling, silly, sad, and powerful.
Missing Richard Simmons:
-Where is he?! Did you know no one has see Richard Simmons, yes the Richard Simmons, in public for almost three years? This podcast does a little digging into his life and shares beautiful stories about the Richard Simmons we thought we knew, but in reality he is so much more. Give it your best guess but you won’t see it coming.
My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark:
-Maybe you’re not into murder, but I am! What I mean by “into murder” is really fascinated by true crime stories. These two awesome ladies delve into the facts and discuss may murders you’ve never even heard about. They also discuss the well known cases we love (is that just me?) and share some hilarious antidotes.
